Getting Started Guide

First off I want to thank everyone that for that is showing interest in the pool. I constantly get emails every day from people wanting to get into bitcoin. I think it's great and I am so pleased that you have shown interest in mining with us here at BCMonster.com. Many of you like myself are wanting to start out using your computer or video cards to mine for coins. I want to set the expection that computer mining is Dead. You can still manage to get a few shares out of your AMD video card and it is definately a place you can start. If you are seriousally wanting to get into mining I would love to have each and every worker so I am going to update this in order to help you get started. The easest way that I have found to mine with a video card is a program called guminer. It auto detects your AMD video card and will start mining very easily. Below I will include a link. Most miners that have big asics do not need a tutorial to connect to the pool. Below is beginner instructions on how to start with different devices.

1. Create account.

  • Register here, or login if you already have account
  • Create a worker that will be used by the miner to login

2. Download your miner.

3. Configure your miner.

If you want to mine on a Windows Operating System, then you'll need to just intall and point your miner at the pool. Use port 3332 for video cards as it is an ultra low difficulty and the video card should be able to report.
