1. Acceptance of Terms
Using BCMonster means you're good with these terms. Pretty simple — if you don't agree, don't mine here.
2. Mining Pool Services
BCMonster is a SHA256 mining pool for BTC, BCH, BCH2, DGB, PPC and BC2. Miners point their hardware at our stratum servers and get paid out based on their contributed work.
2.1 Pool vs Solo Mining
- Pool Mining: Shares rewards proportionally based on contributed work
- Solo Mining: Full block reward to the miner who finds the block (minus pool fee)
2.2 Fees
BCMonster charges fees as displayed on the pool website. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice.
3. User Responsibilities
By mining here you agree to:
- Provide accurate wallet addresses for payouts
- Use mining software compatible with our stratum servers
- Not attack or try to exploit the pool
- Not mess with share difficulty or payout math
- Follow the laws where you live
4. Risk Acknowledgment & Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Mining is risky. Here's what you're signing up for:
4.1 Mining Risks
- No Guaranteed Returns: Mining profitability depends on network difficulty, Bitcoin price, electricity costs, and pool luck
- Block Variance: Time between blocks found can vary significantly from expected averages
- Equipment Costs: Mining hardware and electricity expenses may exceed mining rewards
- Network Changes: Bitcoin protocol changes may affect mining operations
4.2 Cryptocurrency Risks
- Price Volatility: Bitcoin value can fluctuate dramatically
- Regulatory Risk: Laws governing cryptocurrency may change
- Security Risk: Loss of wallet private keys results in permanent loss of funds
- Transaction Irreversibility: Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed
4.3 Pool-Specific Risks
- Pool Downtime: Server maintenance or technical issues may interrupt mining
- Orphaned Blocks: Found blocks may not be accepted by the Bitcoin network
- Payment Delays: Payouts require blockchain confirmations (typically 100+ blocks)
- Minimum Payout Threshold: Balances below minimum threshold remain unpaid
5. Limitation of Liability
Straight talk:
- BCMonster is provided as-is — no guarantees
- We are not liable for lost profits, mining rewards, or cryptocurrency value changes
- We are not responsible for third-party wallet services or blockchain network issues
- We are not liable for damages resulting from pool downtime, orphaned blocks, or technical failures
- Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the preceding 30 days
Mining is inherently risky. You may lose money. Only mine with resources you can afford to lose.
7. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Share withholding or pool manipulation
- DDoS or trying to take down the pool
- Exploiting bugs for an unfair advantage
- Using BCMonster for illegal activity
- Faking workers or inflating your hashrate
Break these rules and you're out — unpaid balances forfeited.
8. Privacy & Data
We only collect what we need to run the pool:
- IP addresses for connection management and security
- Mining statistics (hashrate, shares, worker names)
- Wallet addresses for payouts
We don't sell your data. We keep mining logs for operational reasons.
9. Service Modifications & Termination
BCMonster reserves the right to:
- Modify these Terms with reasonable notice
- Change fee structures, payout methods, or pool configurations
- Temporarily suspend services for maintenance
- Terminate the pool with 30 days notice (all earned balances will be paid out)
- Ban users who violate these Terms
10. No Investment Advice
BCMonster isn't your financial advisor. Mining stats are informational only — talk to a real accountant or advisor before making big financial decisions.
11. Governing Law
Standard legal stuff — disputes handled by binding arbitration.
